Shelley's Monsters
uryah ramirez
Sprung from the page,
into the cosmic tide,
a mirage of the 21st centuries
Heaven and Hellish times.
Animated bodies,
gushing &
pumping
blood & love
soaking
the earthly ground,
and human veins.
Thrust into the salt kissed
sea of the living. Shores
become wet and soaked with the reality
Of God
government
man and machine.
Drown,
Float,
Rise.
in the despair of being
.... here.
Waters calm and free,
under the watchful eye
Of the calculated sun and moon,
casting their power and influence
in the dancing bodies
Of man
woman,
animals,
and machine.
Landscapes of abandoned homes
All along the shores, crashing
under the weight of dirt
brown and cold.
These passions,
how they all burn.
Nothing left in the end but
Dried up,
withering bones
